THERAPY SERVICES IN ARIZONA

Therapy for the stuff that doesn’t stay in its own neat little box.

Grief, ADHD, identity, relationships, life changes... they have a habit of overlapping.

We can sort through it together.

ONLINE THERAPY THROUGHOUT ARIZONA

So, what are we talking about?

You don’t need to look at this page and figure out which perfectly labeled category you belong in.

You can be grieving and dealing with ADHD. You can be figuring out your identity while your relationship is changing and grad school is making you question every decision you’ve ever made. You can come in wanting to talk about one thing and realize three other things have invited themselves to the conversation.

That’s normal.

Here are some of the things I spend a lot of time talking about with clients.

GRIEF & LOSS THERAPY IN ARIZONA

Grief has a way of showing up everywhere.

Grief can come after someone dies. It can also come with a relationship ending, a diagnosis, a move, a changing identity, a family rupture, or realizing the future you pictured isn’t going to happen the way you thought it would.

And grief is weird.

You can miss someone and be angry with them. Feel devastated and relieved. Have a genuinely good day and then feel guilty for enjoying it. You can be grieving something that the people around you don’t even recognize as a loss.

There isn’t a correct way to do this.

I’ve spent more than a decade working and volunteering in grief and loss spaces, and I’m a griever myself. I’m comfortable talking about the parts of grief that other people sometimes get uncomfortable around.

I’m not here to rush you toward “moving on.” We’ll figure out what living with your grief looks like, and how the rest of your life gets to exist alongside it.

No timeline. No platitudes. No requirement to be “doing better” by now.

ADHD & NEURODIVERGENT-AFFIRMING THERAPY IN ARIZONA

Your brain knows what needs to happen. Your brain would also like to decline.

The email takes four minutes to write. You’ve been thinking about it for eleven days.

You bought the planner. Used it beautifully for a week and a half. It now lives somewhere you cannot identify.

You know what you need to do, which honestly makes it even more frustrating when your brain just...won’t.

We can talk about executive functioning, overwhelm, task initiation, emotional regulation, burnout, perfectionism, relationships, and the shame that can build after years of wondering why seemingly simple things feel so hard.

And we can get practical.

Bring the email. Bring the form. Bring the giant task your brain has decided is impossible. We’ll figure out what actually helps instead of forcing you into another system that clearly hates you as much as you hate it.

We’re working with your brain here, not against it.

LGBTQ+ & GENDER-AFFIRMING THERAPY IN ARIZONA

You can just be queer here.

You shouldn’t have to spend half your therapy session explaining your identity to your therapist before you can get to the thing you actually wanted to talk about.

I’m queer myself, and I work with LGBTQ+, transgender, nonbinary, gender-diverse, and questioning clients.

We can talk about gender, sexuality, identity, coming out, relationships, family, dysphoria, or figuring out what feels right for you.

We can also spend the entire session talking about your job.

Your identities matter here without needing to become the subject of every conversation.

I also provide gender-affirming support, including identity exploration and WPATH-informed assessments and letters when clinically appropriate and within my scope of practice.

You don’t have to translate yourself first.

THERAPY FOR LIFE TRANSITIONS & YOUNG ADULTS IN ARIZONA

Apparently we’re supposed to know what we’re doing now.

College ends. Grad school starts. Grad school refuses to end.

Careers change. Relationships change. Friendships change. You move. Your family dynamics start looking different now that you’re an adult yourself. The life you thought you wanted at 22 suddenly feels a little questionable at 29.

And somehow you’re supposed to make decisions about all of it while acting like this is a perfectly normal amount of uncertainty to carry around.

I especially enjoy working with people in their 20s and 30s, including college students, graduate and PhD students, and young professionals figuring out what adulthood actually looks like for them.

We can talk about relationships, family, identity, boundaries, anxiety, burnout, career questions, grief, ADHD, or the general okay, what am I doing? of it all.

You don’t need to be falling apart to come to therapy.

“I’m having a hard time and I think talking to someone would help” is enough.

ALSO VERY ALLOWED IN THERAPY

Because there’s probably more going on.

Anxiety & Overthinking

When your brain has already rehearsed seventeen versions of a conversation that hasn’t happened yet, and somehow none of them went well.

Depression & Feeling Stuck

When everything takes more energy than it should and even the things you know would probably help feel annoyingly difficult to actually do.

Relationships & Boundaries

Partners, friends, family, communication, people-pleasing, and figuring out what you need from others without immediately talking yourself out of it.

Identity & Self-Understanding

Getting to know yourself outside of who you’ve been expected to be, including the parts of you that are still very much under construction.

WHAT THERAPY CAN ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE

We can talk about it. We can also do something about it.

I’m relational and collaborative, which is therapist language for: I’m going to participate in the conversation.

I’ll ask questions. I’ll tell you what I’m noticing. We’ll get curious about patterns, talk about feelings, and make connections between what’s happening now and everything that came before it.

And because of my background in case management, I’m also very comfortable getting into the actual logistics of your life.

Make the phone call. Pull up the form. Write the email. Let’s break the giant horrible task into six smaller, slightly less horrible tasks.

Therapy doesn’t have to look a certain way to count.

You’re investing your time, energy, and money into being here. I want what we do together to be useful in your actual life.

Think we might click?

You don’t need to choose the perfect service before reaching out. You can have one very specific thing you want to talk about, approximately fourteen things happening at once, or no clue where to start beyond I think I need to talk to someone.

Tell me what’s going on.
